Total Precast High-Rise Buildings: Design Example
Course Information
This webinar provides an overview of the recent CPCI publication titled: Total Precast High-Rise Buildings – Design Example.
The webinar covers the following topics:
• Typical Precast Concrete Building Layout
• Structural Analysis of the Frame
• Design Process and Behaviour of Hollowcore Diaphragms
• Structural Analysis and Design of Precast Concrete Walls and Connections
About the Presenter
Wayne Kassian: Wayne has over 36 years of diverse structural experience in the design of various precast concrete projects, and more than 15 years experience with precast concrete quality standards and certification requirements. He is a committee member of several CSA Standards and the current Chair of the CPCI Technical Committee.
Kurt Ruhland: Has 32 years of experience with structural engineering and building design. He has consulted on the structural design for over a thousand structures, including residential, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings constructed of all types of building materials. Kurt is the Vice Chair of the CPCI Technical Committee.
Tim Harris: A structural engineer and has been involved with designing various types of structures, including wind turbine foundations, multi-story buildings and various precast concrete projects, including parking structures and stadium arenas. He is one of the primary authors of the CPCI Design Example.
Gordon Ingham: A P. Eng with six years of engineering experience. Gordon has contributed to the analysis and design of many buildings and structures using precast concrete, providing him with a reliable understanding of the opportunities and challenges this building material presents.
